GUIDELINES

The articles and reviews submitted to the Journal should not have been published before, or should not be under consideration for any other publication at the same time.

The articles can be submitted in either Turkish or English; the availability of the same paper in both languages is strongly preferred.

Articles must be submitted as MS Word files to one of the editor.

Each article should begin with an abstract of no more than 100 words, both in Turkish and in English.

The article should be no longer than 10,000 words. Book and thesis/dissertation reviews should not exceed 3,000 words.

The authors are welcome to include illustrative materials (photographs, maps, caricatures, etc.) in the appendices.

As each article will be followed by a note on the contributor, the author should also send informationon his or her institutional affiliation and research interests.

Articles and reviews submitted to the Journal are evaluated by the editorial board in terms of academic competency and suitability to the scope of the journal.

The citations in the endnotes and the references should be written using Chicago Manual of Style Form Guide. They should conform to the following examples:

Dergiye gönderilen yazıların daha önce yayınlanmamış ve eşzamanlı olarak başka bir dergiye gönderilmemiş olması gerekir.

Makaleler Türkçe ya da İngilizce olarak gönderilebilir. Aynı yazının her iki dilde de gönderilmesi tercih edilir.

Makaleler MS Word dosyası halinde editörlerden birine gönderilmelidir.

Makaleler yaklasık 100 kelimelik İngilizce ve Türkçe özet ile başlamalıdır.

Makaleler 10.000 kelimeyi, kitap ve tez eleştirileri ise 3000 kelimeyi geçmemelidir.

Eklerde görsel malzeme (fotograf, harita, karikatür vb.) kullanılabilir.

Her makalenin sonunda yazarlar hakkinda bilgi verileceğinden, yazarların yazıları ile birlikte, bağlı bulundukları kurumu ve akademik ilgi alanlarını içeren bir not iletmeleri gerekir.

Dergiye gönderilecek olan yazılar yayın kurulu tarafından akademik kriterler ve dergi kapsamına uygunluk açısından degerlendirilir.

Makalelerin, kitap ve tez eleştirilerinin sonnot kullanılarak yazılması gerekir. Sonnotlarlarda kaynak gösterilirken ve kaynakça hazırlanırken Chicago Manual of Style Form Guide (Chicago 15A) temel alınacaktir. Örnekler aşağıdaki gibidir:
